French Laundry
our comments
In the hands of chef Thomas Keller for just a decade, this saloon come brothel, come laundry, come bistro has become what many argue is the best restaurant in the world. The French Laundry has sat on top of Restaurant Magazine’s top 50 best restaurants list for the past two years. Dinner is served everyday while early diners will find that lunch is only served Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A modest two story stone house is not what many would expect from a restaurant with this sort of reputation, but the amount of accolades this place has received do not just appear out of thin air. Reservations are taken two months in advance.- October 2004
